Developing Your Email List - Alternative Methods That Work

Email marketing has been around for as long as the internet itself, and is still an essential part of online marketing. The reason for that should be obvious, but if not then that is true because people have chosen you. Your list is only made up of people who found your initial offer tempting enough to sign up in the first place. It's up to you to meet or exceed their expectations. This creates certain challenges for the email marketer who wants to grow their list and keep subscribers on it. The most successful email marketers understand the value of each subscriber and are always looking for ways to make their content more valuable.

For those of you who have a list, that have never divided the list up before, you should listen carefully to this technique. You should always be striving to optimize your list with every choice you make. If you are having great success with your list, you are more than likely doing the right thing with it so there is nothing to change. If you are not successful yet, then you need to discover what is wrong with your email marketing strategies. When you divide the list up, you can test different offers and find out which ones work the best. The results that you get from sending out to three or more lists will always be better than what you send out to two.

It is important to have a fan page nowadays. Once you have one, there are things you need to do with it. There are many reasons you need a fan page, but you have to use it in the proper manner. You really should know what a fan pages. If you don't, Google it! You can actually pay people to put them up for you if you need one done. Your Facebook fan page, once it is set up, can host the videos that you do. Always make sure that your videos have a lot of good content that your visitors will like. When they see your URL, they will more than likely click it because they trust you. You always want to focus on giving value to your audience, and that can be done quite easily with well-made videos.

Next, you need to be extra careful when sending HTML formatted e-mails to your list. E-mails with images and graphics is a great way to connect with your e-mail list. You really want to avoid placing too many graphics, however, as this can cause some problems. A spam filter will be looking for e-mails with too many images. This can lead to non-deliverability. Once this happens, and your e-mails are deleted, you may wonder why the open rates on the e-mails is so low or why your typical sales are actually down.

The ad platform on Facebook is one other thing we need to mention. Those that have not done well using their advertisement option - there is a reason for this. The most standard form of advertising on this platform is very basic, resembling in many ways PPC advertising on other networks. The results that you get using this format may be similar to what you have achieved with Google Adwords. Many people have failed, yet some have succeeded, using this exact strategy in the last decade. What others say about this topic may be negative - ignore them if at all possible.
